Only the Chevelles, GTO, and Buick GSX are true “muscle cars”. The Corvette and the Shelby Cobra are sports cars, and the Camaros, Mustang, and Hemi ‘cuda are all “pony cars” – so named because the original Mustang created the pony car segment.

A “muscle car” is generally considered to be an intermediate body style originally designed for conventional family use, that has been optioned with a larger engine that was originally designed for use in larger full-sized cars. It’s the bigger engine in the smaller body that gives the intermediate car its “muscle”. (On the other hand, pony cars were intended to include high-powered performance models from their inception.)

Top Ten Muscle cars in the world? Silly American, the world is far bigger than just America.

Where’s the Ford Falcon GTHO phase 3? Where’s the holden Monaro? The Falcon XB or XC GT hardtop? Or any car that comes from outside America?

Ok. These are some really classic cars. The thing I like about these cars is that they are too strong comparatively to the newer cars.
